In His Hands

The young man stood tall and strong as he observed an incredible scene. All around him was an earthly expression of God's might and majesty.

Trent hails from the South Georgia area with its forests and streams and country roads along swamps and fields. That land has its own beauty; however, it differs dramatically from this vantage point.

This point of view is Alaska - with it's majestic mountains, sweeping bays, and coursing streams! The fauna of Alaska ranges from the awesome grizzly bear to diminutive birds and many unique creatures in between.

On this special day, it was the tiny birds that caught the gentle young man's attention. Reaching for a few bird seeds, he quietly moved nearby to where the birds were congregating and extended his hand. Soon, they came in trust to eat right from his hand. What a miracle!

The image of the birds eating from Trent's hand reminds one of the little song called, "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands."

He´s got the whole world in His hands,
He´s got the whole world in His hands,
He´s got the whole world in His hands.

He´s got the wind and the rain in His hands,
He´s got the wind and the rain in His hands,
He´s got the whole world in His hands.

He´s got the the tiny little baby in His hands,
He´s got the the tiny little baby in His hands,
He´s got the whole world in His hands.

He´s got you and me, brother, in His hands,
He´s got you and me, brother, in His hands,
He´s got the whole world in His hands.

He's got ev'rybody here in His hands.
He's got ev'rybody here in His hands.
He's got the whole world in His hands.

This spiritual was written in World War II by Obie Philpot, a Cherokee Indian. It speaks of God as our creator and protector.
